Greetings and Good Morning Good People!
Happy Monday! I hope all is well.
I hope that you've had a fabulous weekend and now you're off to amazing start! I had a "blah" weekend. I spent it at home just relaxing and chill'n because, it was raining for much of it. All I can say is, I'm caught up on practically every reality tv show outside of VH1 reality smut tv shows, LOL! By the way, sidebar, if you've never watched "Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry", oh my goodness it's such a great show. I love him! Anyway, I wanted to jump back into offering a motivational word to get us off to a great week. So without further delay, let's get it, let's go!
This week, I want to discuss letting go. When I think about this topic, I consider all of the things that we have a hard time releasing from our lives. For some, it can be food, for others it can be a love that is not meant to last, a toxic relationship, or maybe it can be that job that's stressing you out. Whatever, the stronghold may be we have to learn to let it go. Sometimes, when these strongholds are allowed to get a grip on us it can be so tight that we feel like there is no where else to turn. However, you have to be strong enough to break free. What if the very thing we need to release, is part of our success and prosperity? If you're working towards a goal, and it requires immense sacrifice and yet you're not seeing the manifestation of your hard work, dedication, and devotion lead to happiness; I promise you will harbor resentment. That resentment will lead to feelings that are difficult to get rid of. That, my friend, is also a stronghold.
I, myself, am dealing with feelings of resentment for the sacrifices that I've made as a entrepreneur. It's tough because, I don't want to wallow in these feelings. No one wants to feel this way, I mean, lets be honest! However, I'm working on letting these feelings go.
So let me ask you some questions? Feel free to share and connect! This is a no judgement zone.
"Mai" Questions for you to ponder and discuss:
What has been a situation that you've felt you've needed to let go but held on to recently?
Why do you feel that it has become a stronghold?
Do you believe that it's a stronghold?
Do you resent the sacrifice that you've made?
How did you cope and let it go?
"Mai" 3 Suggestions for Letting Go:
Step #1, Acknowledgement: I think, in order to let go there has to be an acknowledgement of the stronghold, or whatever it is that must be released. Face the fact that there is something there that is bothering you and that needs to be let go. Otherwise, this makes very little sense at all.
Step #2, Release yourself from the feelings: The next important and obvious step, is to release yourself from the feelings of resentment and emotions that accompanies the stronghold. It is easier said than done. Maybe, you need time and space from that person that you love so much. Maybe, you need to connect spiritually and institute meditation and positive energy around you to deal with your job. Perhaps, you will need to switch up your strategy if you're entrepreneur. Whatever your situation maybe, it's time to pivot and as you do so, release yourself from internalizing negative feelings and energy.
Step #3, Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself: This is about taking care of yourself, your immediate space and energy. It is ok to be a little selfish in this regard. I think that we become vulnerable, when we've allowed ourselves to become open for various strongholds to manifest in our lives. We're especially vulnerable when we are trying to reclaim that piece of ourselves that we've given up so freely and easily. So, it's ok to be tough, pull back, and push back on that which seems to be a threat to you reclaiming what is already yours. DO NOT be afraid to speak up, speak out, and be strong!
This week, whatever you're holding on to I hope that you can let it go! It's not meant for us to hold on to energies that ruin our spirit! I wish you well today and this week and find some value in this reading. May your #Monday be highly #motivated and spread your #motivation throughout this world. We need more people to M.otivate, A.spire, and I.spire and that's for sure!
Peace and have a blessed and fantastic #MondayMotivation!
