M.A.I. SIP OF THE WEEK: BILTMORE ESTATE LIMITED EDITION ROUSSANE 2020

What’s going on everyone? Today, I will be reviewing Biltmore Estate Limited Edition Roussane 2020. I hold a WSET Level 1 Certification, and I simply love trying various wines and sharing my thoughts. Years ago, I began attending monthly wine tasting in Boston, MA with friends. This began my love for tasting great food paired with amazing wines! I recently decided order a few bottles of wine if my own from a producer that I know. As a result, I would like to share my thoughts on this beautiful bottle of wine!

M.A.I. First Impressions

This week, I'm so excited to share another wonderful bottle of wine. It is the Biltmore Estate Limited Edition Roussane 2020. This wine has all of the goods! It's perfect for sipping and entertaining. I'm so excited about the "end of summer" sips because, they are bringing all of the heat to close out summer on a high note. I always allow my white wines to chill in the refrigerator for a bit because, it improves the tasting profile of the wine. Now, again, like all of my favorite white wines, this wine is beautifully pale in color. It has a “lemon” hue and is almost light as water. I love white wines this pale because, I love their flavors. This Roussane has a gorgeous honeysuckle, tropical, and floral notes on the nose. When allowed to chill, it’s crisp and very pleasant! I truly enjoyed sipping this wine!

M.A.I. Wine Pairings

When I sip white wines, I generally like to go for a lighter fare to pair with my wine. However, this time I opted for the ultimate "struggle meal" that made this wine pop. I actually ate a "Cup of Noodles," just to see how it would taste, and ironically it paired really well. The sodium in the cup of noodles paired with the wine, allowed for all of those sweet flavors to come through. Sometimes, I try the craziest pairings just to see what the wine will taste like. This time, thank goodness, it really brought out the flavor in this wine.

M.A.I. Final Score

As I close this week, when I received my WSET Level 1 Certification, in the summer of 2021, I knew that I wanted to try various wines and share my well-informed thoughts. Overall, I thought this was an outstanding wine, and I give it 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷 (5 out 5 Wine Glasses). I highly recommend this wine for any time that you would like to entertain, and have a wonderful sip!
