M.A.I. Monday Motivation: Are You Getting the Most Out of Your Friendships?

Greetings and Good Morning! I hope all is well and that each of you are off to an awesome start! I had a really nice weekend. The only problem is that it’s too short, LOL! With that said, let’s get into today’s message about meaningful friendships.

“A friend loves at all times.”

Proverbs 17:17

This week, I’m reminded of the importance of meaningful friendships. I love this scripture because, a good friend and meaningful friend will definitely “love at all times.” Having friendships with people that you can count on, and that you can miss when they’re gone, makes life so more fuller. Also, we all need space and time away from each other in order grow closer. It also makes you realize or remember how much a person or group of people means to you. This past weekend, getting together with a few of my Friday Night Trivia friends on Zoom, reminded me of how much positive energy these people bring into my life. We’d taken a break from trivia nights over the summer due to everyone vacationing at various times, and to just free up everyone’s schedule. However, we’d all missed the games and having fun together, so those of us that could log on, did. We had such a great time! This is what we must do daily. Ensure that we’re establishing meaningful relationships and friendships with people that add value to our lives. To get the most out of your friendships, you have to mutually understand and respect the value of having that person in your life. Are they encouraging, positive, ambitious? Are they setting a tone for life that you can aspire to be? Do they offer and share their approach to crushing goals? And vice versa. Our friends should help elevate our lives and vice versa. If being their friend is a drain, brings negative energy, and does nothing to make you or them better as people, then ask yourself, why are you wasting each other’s time as friends? It’s not worth it. Life is too short to spend time around people that have nothing going for them, and that prefer to keep dark clouds in their orbit. There’s too much life and sunlight to let in and enjoy to get bogged down with cloudy skies! We should be growing and ascending to greater heights in every aspect of our being. So, reach out to the people that means the most to you and add value to your life. You do not have to engage everyday (unless you want to), but having that regular connection with a close knit circle of your peers is necessary for a healthy social lifestyle. Get out and get social! Have some fun and “cut up” for once! Peace and Blessings!

So, there you have it! Today’s message in a nutshell! Today’s message is meant to motivate you and encourage you to maintain a meaningful social life with people you love and trust! We all need that positive connection with others! Listen, have a beautiful day and week! If you let love guide you in your movements throughout life everything else will fall into place!
