Let's Reflect! How You Do'n?

Updated: Mar 3, 2019

Greetings and Happy #FierceFriday!

I hope all is well today! Well, I wanted to drop in on this #ReflectiveFriday and give a quick word of encouragement. There is so much discord and turmoil in the world, and it is incredibly difficult to stay motivated. Positivity is an energy and when you're drained of that which keeps you operating at a high level, its easy to fall trap to the negativity that surrounds you. So, I wanted to let you know that it is ok. If you're struggling today, it's ok. We all fall short of where we need to be sometimes, but the key is to always be able to find the silver lining that allows you to get back on your feet.

I will end this week, and just be honest and candid about where I am mentally. This week, I've felt a bit down and defeated with where I stand professionally, but it's just a hiccup and a feeling that will pass. We've all been there. We all have those moments, but how do we make sure that those feelings do not consume us? It's important to know how to raise our vibrations so that those feelings do not transform into depression. One of the things that I did to get back on track was begin to write and listen to music. That always helps me. I'm also expanding and reaching professionally, and that feels great.

If you find yourself needing a little "pep me up", try few of the following items:

1. MUSIC - We all know that good music is just as therapeutic as talking your best friend. So throw in your favorite track and let yourself just go! Get up and dance all of your issues away! Today, I'm vibing out to one my dope playlists, but I wanted to share two tracks from it that has sent my vibration in to the heavens. It is the great Fela Kuti and Lady Alma. These albums are so incredibly different, but so DOPE on so many levels. If you're a music lover and open to many genres, then I think that you'll enjoy them, or at least give them a shot!

2. FRIENDS - Always, always, always talk to your friends and spend time with them. Having a good circle of friends is imperative. In times like this week, I always lean on my friends and discuss my problems and just let it all out. Good friends will listen, give their honest opinion and feedback, and will encourage you,

3. TAKE TIME FOR YOU - Now, it is time to take time out for you. Self-care is important, and it is YOUR TIME ALONE! You should go and get a massage or get your nails done. Taking care of yourself, is a sure fire way to light a spark in your life.

In closing, stay motivated and keep your vibrations operating at high level. Be blessed today, go out and change the world!

Peace and #HappyFriday!
