Greetings and Good Monday Morning!
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! We've onto the second week of the new year, and what a rollercoaster ride of a time that we had during the first week of 2021! I will be completely transparent with you last week was challenging for me emotionally. I didn't realize the impact of the week until I reached Friday evening, and I was talking to one of my friends and I literally began crying. We lost two icons within the African-American community one a street dancer, Aldofo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones and famed Bestselling Author, Eric Jerome Dickey. Next, we had the ultimate "high" the Georgia State Run-Off Elections were won by Democrats, Dr. Rev. John Warnock and John Ossoff. Before the end of the day, on Wednesday, we were dealing with a insurrection at the State Capital Building. As we closed out the week, I received devastating news regarding two of my friends. So to say that last week was difficult was an understatement. I'd been ignoring a lot of my feelings until their toppled over. The fortunate part is that, I was able to release and let go of those emotions. Despite all that I'd been witnessing throughout the week, I'd definitely was able to remain focused on my work and close out the week having been very productive. So without further delay let's dive into this week's message!
I want to begin by sharing something that is on my heart. Over the weekend, I was tricked and bamboozled and as a result my one of my accounts was hacked, and I feel so violated! I never allow myself to fall prey to phony sweepstakes and contests online, but this time I was tricked because, I thought the people contacting me were legitimate company that I've supported and purchased items from. After investigating, I realized that the fraudsters created an account that was a bogus account posing as the legit vendor, that I've previously purchased items from. I say all of this to say, do not share any information online with anyone! It's not worth it to have your life turned upside down because, of fraudsters! I'd started my Sunday off on a high note, and this really irritated me, but I will NOT let it ruin "M.A.I Mindset!"
With that said, I want to share with you the "M.A.I. Mindset" Framework. If you listen to "The Purple Charm Experience Podcast", I introduce this framework to you in Episode 13. This framework, is a perfect addition to your strategies for accomplishing your goals throughout the year. I created this framework for myself as a way to stay on top of my goals. I'm always very focused and driven throughout the year from a performance perspective in my career, so as a way to transfer that energy to my business and entrepreneurship life, as well. So let me share with you some of the hallmarks of what makes up the "M.A.I. Mindset" Framework.
THE M.A.I. MINDSET FRAMEWORK
The M.A.I. Mindset Framework has 3 pillars based on the overall mission of Creative Calfuray, LLC. It is to M.OTIVATE | A.SPIRE | I.NSPIRE. Each piece has two areas of focus to guide you through the framework. Let me show you how it works...
step #1: Prayer & meditation
A.) Begin your day giving thanks, and exaulting your God. Give the source of your blessings praise. This is when you should pray, and focus your prayer on the most high.
B.) Choose a scripture or good word to focus on throughout the day. Let it soak in and guide you. It will be how God comes through to touch you. It will uplift you.
C.) Finally, meditate, if you've never meditated before, I recommend apps like, CALM, or finding a video on YouTube to get you started. This is how I began to meditating. When you meditate, you learn to quiet your thoughts and mind. Sitting quietly in your own mind and siliencing your thoughts is a very peaceful place to be. Allow yourself to become grounded, and one with what is ahead of you.
Step #2: Positive Affirmations & ManisfestATions
A.) Use positive affirmations all of the time to be encouraged. Tell yourself often that your are worthy, that you are powerful, and magnificent!
B.) Believe in the law of attraction, and that what you think and believe will manifest. So, believe in the good and emit positive energy and you will manifest goodness in your life.
The M.OTIVATE piece of this framework is the foundation of the "M.A.I Mindset." This is where you draw your strength, and this will be your guiding light. When times get tough, and believe me, they will; this is where you will find your motivation to keep going. Your motivation is where your faith is most important because, it will be tested. Life tests your faith, and the question becomes what tools and experiences can you draw from to keep you motivated. It's in the depths of your soul that you will find your drive to keep going. You have to use prayer and motivation daily to strengthen your mind. Making sure that your foundation for motivation will be vital for the next two phases of the "M.A.I. Mindset Framework."
Step #3: Goal setting / s.m.a.r.t. goals
A.) Set S.M.A.R.T. Goals
When you set your new goals for yourself, you have to make sure that they are specifically targeting something in your life that needs to get done. In other words, you need to be very detailed and specific about your goals and what you are to be working to accomplish. Next, make sure that it is measurable. This will allow you to be able to see if you are successful in meeting your goals. Also, you should ask yourself, is this goal attainable? You do not want to set a goal that you will not attain, it's self-sabotaging behavior. So, set something attainable. For instance, if your goal is to work out everyday, then set your goal to workout everyday for at least 10-15 minutes. That's a great place to start and it's not out of your range. It's an attainable goal. If it's attainable, now lets ask, if it is relevant. Does this goal make sense? It has to make sense overall. Finally, it must be time-based and something that you can accomplish in a reasonable timeframe. There you have it! This is how you set "goal set" your "S.M.A.R.T. Goals."
Step #4: Create & Set strategies to attain & achieve your goals
Creating and setting strategies to attain and achieve your goals is how you put action behind your words, and hold yourself accountable to your goals. If you're deliberate and intentional with your strategies you will win!
When you A.SPIRE to be something, you are seeking to be a better version of yourself. This is what you want to become. Your aspirations is where your dreams and passions live and thrive. Anything you can imagine yourself to be, you should. There should be no limitations or inhibitions to what you want, can do, and how far you can go.
Step #5: Execute on Goals & Repeat steps 1-4.
Step #6: Be a role model with integrity.
Remember those around you are being inspired by what you do, as you achieve your goals. Be a person of integrity and distinction. Show them that they too, can do what you've done, if they are dedicated and persevere. Remember, if it doesn't EVOLVE YOU, DON'T LET IT INVOLVE YOU!
In conclusion, this is how you maintain a "M.A.I. Mindset Framework" during a pandemic, in the midst of everything that we face. Staying focused and achieving your goals is imperative to be successful in life. I hope that this framework will help you stay on track.
