5 Necessary Qualities it Takes to Pursue Your Passion and Succeed!

Greetings and Good Morning Everyone,

I'm back at it after a much needed break prior to and following my recent book launch event for, the second book in "The Purple Charm Series", Three's a Charm. I had such a fantastic time planning and preparing for the event, and to watch it all come together was amazing. The part that was even more rewarding was to be surrounded by my closest family and friends in support of this incredible occasion! I even made new friends! As we finish the first week of March (WOW! I cannot believe that were already in March), I began to think and reflect back on when I began my journey as a self-published author, which has been about 2 years ago now, and I realize the important qualities that it took for me to get to this point in my writing career! This has been an unbelievable journey, one with lots of twists and turns, peaks and valleys, but I'm still here! This week, I want to take a few minutes to discuss the key qualities that you must have, if you want to pursue your passion and succeed! So without further delay, let's dive right in!

The 5 Necessary Qualities it Takes to Pursue Your Passion and Succeed!

1. Intention

2. Dedication

3. Perseverance

4. Vision and Goal-Setting

5. Optimism

I never could have made it to this point in my writing career without these qualities. Sure, there's more of them, but I want to start here because, at the very core and foundation of why I haven't given up or failed at this is because of these fundamental qualities. I believe in them and at the very heart of my "WHY" for my writing and my business are there distinctive values. If you have a goal or a passion that you're trying to pursue, you have to have possess these qualities. Pursuing your passion is not a sprint it is a marathon, and you can't skip necessary steps.

Intention

When we think about intention, it's important to understanding if, we are intentional in the way in which we live and move throughout our individual lives, and on a greater scale, the world? Many people these days are "doing things" without good intentions, or purposeful motivation to care, if what they are doing, has a positive or negative effect in the long run. With that said, as it relates to your passion, you must move with intention. You have to develop a plan of execution for your passion, otherwise it will go nowhere.

Dedication

Are you dedicated to your passion? You have to live this thing and honor it. When I first got started, I ate, slept, breathed, Creative Calfuray and writing. I had to. I knew that I wanted to get it off of the ground, and I'm still doing this. I love my work, I love my company, and I love writing. This is not work for me because, I was willing to do every aspect of it before I made any money from it. Shh, don't tell anyone but I still am, LOL! "I give my true talents with love and I am wonderfully blessed, it is amazing!"

Perseverance

There will be difficult times. FYI, there may be a lot of difficult times, but that's where your strength is tested. You have to be able to weather the storm. With that said, proper preparation in the initial stages will ensure that you can handle the hard times, anticipate the downturn, make a pivot in your course and stay on track. Only the strong will survive, and you can be amongst them if you have what it takes to get to the final destination.

Vision and Goal-Setting

If you have focused on your intended outcome, proven your dedication, and persevered to the next level, then the next step is honing in your vision and goal-setting. One of the most important lessons that you will learn as you pursue your passion is, that you will never reach the finish line. You will always be looking ahead to the next attainable goal and how to get there. Having the vision to be able to think strategically about the your passion, and where you want to take it into the future is how you build a sustainable plan.

Optimism

Finally after it's all said and done, you have to remain optimistic! It is so easy to lose sight of your long-term goals when you're hit with short-term demands. Make sure you surround yourself with people that want to see you succeed, and will cheer you on at every milestone. Don't forget to do the same for them because, nine times out of ten, if you're surrounded by like-minded individuals chances are they are striving for attaining higher goals as well, so be sure to uplift them too in the process.

In closing, believe you innately have these qualities within you, you will see success come to you. You cannot fail long-term if you are constantly striving and stay true to these qualities. I hope that you found this post helpful this week, and feel free to share your comments and feedback with me.
