A little bit of rest and relaxation is just what the doctor ordered. There's so much that we have to deal with on a daily basis, as individuals, with family, work, and outside commitments it's easy to "burn out". I think that it's important to work hard and meet your daily obligations, but I also believe in taking care of oneself. Many people forget to put themselves first, and I'll admit to being one of those people. However, as I get older I'm realizing that we only have one life to live. We have only one chance to get it right, to see all that we want to see, and a limited time to do it. I know that sometimes it's very difficult to unplug and just live in the moment, but we have to give it a try.
This week, my family and I are on vacation. It's a wonderful feeling to unplug, and to not have a care in the world. On any given day, there's so much negativity, suffering, and tragedy, and at the same time, I can find something to be thankful for, and I can find positivity and love. I choose to focus on the good in the world, and attract goodness from the universe into my life. With that said, I'm thankful for the opportunities that I've been afforded every day. My life is truly blessed. This has been a much needed release. I've worked so hard for years and I finally have a moment to breathe, and to just relax. Ahhhh!
"Mai Monday Motivation", for you is to go somewhere new to rest and relax. Unplug from social media, technology, and your everyday life and be with family. Be with the people who love you and live in an organic moment. Take a walk, go for a drive, read your favorite book, but most importantly do something that speaks to your spirit. Take your personal quality time seriously and put yourself first. You're worth it and you deserve it. There is no one that will take better care of you than you. Remember, you have to give your mind, body, and spirit the time it needs to rejuvenate and reset so that you can be better for it.
Peace & Blessings,
Happy Monday!
